QUALITY & INNOVATION

History

The Cowell Electric brand originated in 1928 and is renowned for achieving exceptional results in often adverse conditions. The company was originally established by a group of innovative local businessmen to generate, distribute and retail electricity to the township of Cowell, and surrounding farming communities, prior to the establishment of the state grid. Their vision and foresight recognised a niche for a powerline construction business that was prepared to travel and work in regional and remote locations across Australia building electricity distribution lines to improve the lives of the people in these communities. This vision paved the way for the innovative and responsive business today.

Regional Origins

Throughout the years Cowell Electric has maintained its regional origins with its head office still residing in Cowell on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, perfectly positioned to service the Upper Spencer Gulf and all of Australia’s regional areas.

Local content is one of our priorities in the delivery of a project, despite the location, and we value the positive experiences we provide to the communities in which we work in.
